It's the next big tech for smart phones and tablets - an emerging experience that will be huge very soon - trust us. It's mobile augmented reality (otherwise known as AR).
After being asked by the Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM) to produce the latest and greatest in interactive museum experiences, we did a global search for the right technologies. In the end we made some good friends across the pond, across a couple ponds actually, in the UK (a country that, in the words of the wise Ricky Gervais speaking to Americans at the Golden Globes, "used to rule the world before you lot"). Well, now they're ruling the virtual world via a company in London called String Labs. They've built StringTM SDK for iPhone that can create incredible AR experiences. And it works seamlessly with our 3D engine of choice - Unity.
